“SoundShards” is an original 21st Century composition based on “sonification,” the transforming of data into a musical composition. This groundbreaking work is scored for handbell solo, marimba, tambura, prepared piano, and available percussion. The work employs written themes and accompaniment and “Shards” (my term for the short written or improvised solos), so each performance will be different and unique, as illustrated in the videos below. This composition was commissioned by Michele Sharik for her Bachelor’s senior recital.
Purchase includes full score, instructions, all parts, license, and permission to perform, video record, and live stream, for the special introductory price of $25.00. Perfect for Social Distance performance!
